Actually, I think about that every time I'm carefully and lovingly wrapping gifts and I realize I probably won't get anything, or much, if at all, in return.

I refuse to believe that isn't actually a photoshopped Christopher Reeve. It's uncanny. The Leia looks slightly different from Carrie Fisher (I think the eyebrows?), but the Superman is just bonkers.

I find it more disturbing for the adults. They were people who lived years and years of their live being cared for or having relationships.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

Good Thor, that dredges up really painful thoughts for me. I care about a lot of people who if I didn't contact, would probably forget about me or never call. It is so sad to be a giver but die unnoticed and unappreciated.

I was thinking the same thing, on both points. Those gifts were a waste because obviously no one cared enough to check on her, even to get their gift.

Yeah, that one really bothered me too. :(

I specifically do not want a funeral for this reason.

is it weird that I don't really care about any of this, I'm going to get an id bracelet, that donates my body to science. The funeral business is such an extortionist industry, I would hate for my loved ones to be burdened with such an unnecessary expense.

The name, apparently. As far as I can tell, that's it, at least in America. Another commenter said that in Mexico, "taquitos" is a term of endearment for tacos, which might be the best thing I've ever heard.

"Who's a cute little taquito? YOU are! YOU are! Awwww...."

Why, yes. That is a literal fact. How do you interpret this fact you are taking pains to call attention to? There those who might infer from the tone of your post that her parents "put" her in a situation worthy of your "bad" feelings leading one to conclude you judge the parents in a less than kind light. In short,

My problem is it tastes terrible. I would rather not use soy sauce at all than use low-sodium soy sauce.

Every source I can find claims that flautas and taquitos are interchangeable terms for the same thing. I was curious about this before I wrote the post, so I had checked.

RIGHT? That actually looks really, really good.

And for the first time in two decades, I want Taco Bell.
