This might sound dumb but my girlfriend would be grateful for me thinking of her in this instance. Throw in a couple tampons. As a guy, I never realized how necessary they were.

I agree from a simple mortgage perspective you’re right, but there ARE lots of hidden costs in the homeownership process that are not in the rent. So I agree based upon pure mortgage vs pure rent standpoint, you’re correct. But if you end up having insurance, taxes, replacement costs, etc etc the real cost of a house

Still, it’s true that you do own your home after paying off your mortgage, so even if your home doesn’t appreciate, you still have an asset, right? And that’s better than nothing, which is what you’d have with renting. However, as we’ve told you before, you also have to consider the opportunity

Let me elaborate:

Yeah..... Anecdotally I don’t really know how effective this is.

I worked as a line cook at a one-step-above-pub-style restaurant in Wooster, MA

My mind is blown that this is like... a real world thing. Hearing her say, “She wishes President Obama would speak to the King” just sends me down these like.. medieval spirals. I watch so much anime and read so many books that use this these themes of justice, Kingship, liberty, civilization, etc that it’s difficult

dude. what the FUCK is this article?

To me Elite Quarterbacks are those who make up for the deficiencies of the players around them. Meaning, you can put sub-par players with them, but the Quarterback will elevate the level of their play in ways that other Quarterbacks wouldn’t.

Haha like the couple in this week’s BCO who went to the Egyptian restaurant and asked for a “Canadian” flavored pizza lol

I mean, so far the Deadspin narrative for Tomsula has been more of a mockery than it is any kind of legitimate criticism. As a fan I actually had decent hopes that he’d be okay, especially because I think they have the right coaching staff in place to support him as well as enough talent to put up a decent

You mean Norv Turner? Shocker.

ASTOUNDING how different the comment section is when the article is about a sorority rather than a fraternity.

On the one hand, I could see how after a couple of beers with your buddies, you find this ridiculous outfit, put it on, and have some fun with it while making rascist jokes. You know, the kind Dave Chappelle and other comedians joke about.

We believe we’re the victim’s of conspiracy because of what happened on last Friday. ESPN published the report that Tom Brady says he “still respects Roger Goodell” in an article that was attached to Mike Reiss’ blog account. Reiss confirmed he NEVER wrote this report whatsoever.

Yes! Agreed, and this falls under my #2 rebuttal: Be the change. Luckily, your friend’s mother was in a position of power to initiate the change. I didn’t mean to imply it has to be some magnamanous change and structure with flyers and announcements, simply that it comes top down typically (or most effectively).

Realistically, there are two options:

Enjoyed reading the article, but I disagree. I fundamentally believe that you can’t avoid turning into the environment you’re in. I’m a firm believer in Zimbardo’s quote:

I feel like there’s a Greg Schiano joke somewhere that I can’t think of.

Philadelphia Cheese Steak. Because it’ll be able to shut up the NFL’s most insufferable fans. And likely satisfy 80% of the rest of the nation too.
