@jerryg99: To be frank though, Remote Desktop is never as fast as a native OS, no matter where you're using it from (you send command to the remote PC, the PC executes it, and returns the output). You just need to configure it to minimize the lag.

f course, depending on what you're doing, you can just get a netbook. It would be adequate enough for the job, plus, it also very light, so you never have to worry about weight. And some searching can easily net you a netbook with XP for $200-$300.
