Okay, well then I'm sorry for snarking at you. However, my comment still stands for all the other legitimate assholes I see down here who are making gross generalizations.

Alex Michels: We are the same age, living in the same place, both working in media. Can we be friends? I'll share my ramen and nuggets.

Well, you wouldn't have to wonder if you actually read the fucking article. Holy hell, you're the one who's sickening. One's father died when he was 12, another actually wanted to be a lawyer before he went to an open casting call on a whim, and the third struggles financially.

Can we instead talk about why you feel the need to call a bunch of 20-something's "douchebags" based solely because of their profession?

I don't think most of those people are knowingly selfish. Ignorant is the better word, now that I think about it more (except those rich kids who do it for college applications, I have no problem calling them all selfish assholes).

I thought this was actually a thing that exists so I googled it. I was disappointed.

I don't think sassy refers to the way you feel about someone. It refers to their quick-witted manner of speech. I know plenty of straight men and white girls who I would consider sassy.

If the kids had normal lives and then a summer camp once a year, they would probably be fine. But that's not what happens. These kids have a new set of tourists in their lives every few weeks that they get attached to and then abandoned by.

You don't see how those trips could hurt? What those kids need is stability and practical education not a bunch of tourists spouting "praise Jesus" at them and then leaving a few weeks later causing the kids to have severe abandonment issues.

Just because they are not helping to the maximum possible extent you think they should be, does not diminish their contributions or efforts.

Is it sad that I laugh hysterically Megan Amram's throwback thursday every week?

I don't think everyone's being high and mighty, especially when you compare their comments to your OP in which you basically decided for everyone who is and is not a nerd. They're just defending themselves and the nerd-culture that they identify with. But pro-tip, you can't make comments like that on this website and

I don't know what point you're trying to get across.

I'm not saying the issue isn't real, I'm just saying that it's not one I prioritize because it doesn't affect me. You on the other hand, feel affected by the plight of third-world citizens and are compelled to help them. However, just because that's one of your priorities doesn't mean you can decide what "we" spend

The 90's called. They want their definition of nerd back...

Well if everyone tells her to shut up and stop complaining of course not. However, if women started being goddamn supportive of each other and encouraged Sofia to mention how lucky she is to even be able to fix her clothes maybe something can be started. She's the highest paid actress on television right now so her

Yes, I'm talking about the comments.

Yes, she has money to fix the problem, but she's at least acknowledging that there is a problem in the first place. Don't you think that her speaking out about how ridiculous typical sample sizes are is a good thing? If companies start making larger sample sizes to accomodate her, eventually that mindset will trickle

It's not that I actively don't want that for everyone. I'm just apathetic. It wouldn't be a total waste I guess, but once you fix that problem people are just going to have different problems. And yes, you can say that about any causes, but since the life-spans of third-world citizens do not affect me, there's no

If a regular person complained about not being able to find clothes that fit, you'd all be praising her and talking about how messed up clothes sizes are. But god forbid a famous person has the same problem. She's obviously just a whiny brat.
