Didn’t show well but the undercarriage is really golden. Also that yellow Veloster was sexy.
You may or may not have read my first foray into wrenching, I swapped my summer wheels for winter wheels. It was a big deal. Everyone cheered. Anyways, today I changed my oil!
Just went for a nice long-ish drive around the coast of some really nice towns near where I grew up. Lots of terrible drivers on the way to and from the good parts, but man did the good parts make it worth it. Twisty roads! Scenic views! Porsche noises! Anyway, see below.
Last year I was getting a bit annoyed with how much of a car enthusiast I am compared to how few fun cars I’ve driven. Most rentals not included. So, I wrote a list of ways I could figure to drive more cars without breaking the bank or changing my life too significantly. Here’s what I got:
Got this beauty (2017 and Manual) until midday Sunday in “southern” Florida. I’ve sat in them but I’ve never even been a passenger while in motion. So far I’ve driven 30 min from the airport, and later a 30 min drive down the coast. Lots of topless fun, obviously a pretty great little car, but I have so much more I…
Well, I scratched my goddamn car again. I’m so sick of this. I mean yes, it was technically avoidable, but the situation is bullshit. Let me explain the situation:
Nvm the tire pressure warning, I don’t have sensors in my winter wheels.
...a pilot while starting your car?
Idk what to do... Uhh have some DOTS?
Somewhat surprisingly, a possibility of snow, turned to 1-3", turned to rain only, and now back to 3-5" of SNOW! Well, I did as any responsible Porsche owner does. I waited until there was at least a coating of an inch and went for a drive to test my snow tires!
Poor Cayman just wants to be included.
Or don’t... But here’s mine. Save the manuals!
Look! Finally my chance to fight those bastards at Chevy. Clearly the 5 year old German sports car is the most reliable and dependable or whatever these people care about.
Aren’t you proud OPPO? I worked on my car today! Yes, a 12 year old could do it, but... shut up. Anyway...
First time I’ve seen one in person... I gagged.
But I’m basically a mechanic now.
UGHHHHHHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHHH literally just picked this damn thing up from getting the scratch fixed in the paint from my past post. I'm so sick of this bad luck.
Today was the last Motors and Mansions of the season put on by the Audrain Auto Museum in Newport RI. Today, they also started their exhibition “Porsche Then & Now” so all us Porsches got to park along the front line!
To start, I bought the car with scuffs and scratches on wheels. It’s used, and doesn’t bother me. If it bothers you, meh. BUT, I never noticed this until today and I am absolutely in love with it! Riddled with laughter, I thought you all might enjoy as well :)
Not my thing but I know you guys like these:
