I have never seen POI or TGW. I still like this show but she just seems out of place. She just doesn't convey a "mom" type character nor does she seem to fit in with Wharburton's strong character

This could be a good show with different actors. Warburton and the girls are good. The mom, Carrie Preston, is just wrong and no match for Warburton.
