I have used electrical contact cleaner like Deoxit to fix scratchy and worn potentiometers in my guitars and audio equipment for years. The first time I got stick drift, I sprayed the pots with the cleaner and the drift issue was resolved. Two different controllers with drift were fixed the same way.

I was lucky enough to grab a 2070 super at retail about a year ago. Its so tempting to flip it for double what I paid, and just wait out the storm.
