Since Tesla is valued “bigger” than the “big” autmakers, and posted a profit, which while small, in this context it is huge. I think “legacy automakers” would be a better moniker.

I look at a company like Ariel - they design some batshit crazy thing, they make some batshit crazy thing, and then they sell it. so 2 things:

Can catch a ferry to the cape, and train to Salem, and bring bike with. RT3 in the summer - FFS LOL. If I need a car I use zipcar, and if it’s in the city I rent a chevy bolt. A multi day trip - rent a car, or ride my MC if it’s solo.  Options abound, and people can work it out for their situation.  Granted, right…

Lots of ways to travel. I got a cheap electric bicycle and can travel most anywhere. Others use rentals, public trans, skateboards, roller blades, walking (holy shit!!), things I don’t even know what they are. During the lockdown in Boston, it was such a pleasure to not have cars everywhere. Now it’s the usual dumb…

The US is not allowed to negotiate drug prices - so they charge a lot. Most of the drugs are developed via public funding. We don’t subsidize the world, our government just lets drug companies charge us a lot of money.  At most it could be said that we subsidize the shareholders of said companies.

I did watch that vid and was dismayed at how Ducati couldn’t seem to understand Dovi as a rider.  If they don’t like him - fine - but they were undermining him.  He’s the guy with his ass on the line, and the bike isn’t as good as they think.

The T-bird was never a sports car.  It was a coupe for ladies to get to the country club in style.
