The flaw in your metaphor is that ICE is the vacuum tube, and EVs are the transistor. You see the vacuum tube was the statust quo - like the ICE - and the transistor was the revolution - like the EV. Sorry man, just doesn’t read right.  But I get it - EV no good.

Drove a Bolt this weekend - what a blast! 200 electric hosepower and nice agility. First EV car I ever drove any distance - loved it.
