It should e noted that the Civic is light and feels light. The unloaded versions are about 2800lbs, which is very light for a roomy 4 seater in the modern age.

Hey don’t sweat it. One of the wonderful aspects of SUVs is that they circumvent many car safety features including bumper height. All cars have the same bumper height so that crumple zones etc.. actually crumple and absorb energy. SUVs cleverly avoid such inconvenience.

One thing that’s hard to fathom is how small these are- if I remember correctly it comes up to about your hip. NP - if you want one, I think you have to pay a little. Get one of those little flags on a pole so people in other cars can see you.
IMO The only elegant big car with any charm, that BMW ever made was the e9 series and it isn’t even on your list. The rest seem either an overt statement on managerial status, or answer the question “What is it like to drive a bar of soap?”.
Since it looks great, this is an academic question. Do people really think a stock Miata looks good - it’s small, seats 2 - but kind of stops there.
