Mugler and Gucci were always slutty, though. Feel however you want about his work, but Kim Kardashian is a pretty good representation of the Mugler fantasy.

New Cursive album today as well.

My top albums of the year so far:

i’m probably a nah on the new camp cope. it’s so aggressively miserable; there’s nothing like done or lost season one to counteract the sadness.

The 2018 albums I keep regularly returning to so far:

Singularity still needs some listens to sink in. I’m definitely not calling it a disappointment, but to me, Immunity didn’t waste any time hooking me in. It ended up being my album of the year for that year. Hell On is seriously growing on me. Initially, I had it as a ‘B’ - but it’s creeping up to an A-. Picks this

“Maybe believing in God was the mistake. What did people believe in before? The sun? Maybe there’s some sort of animal, that we could make a sacrifice too. Like a giant buffalo, or some sort of monster, like something with the body of a walrus with the head of a sea lion. Or something with the body of an egret with

I know many gay men that would want this. Happy Pride!

Well, I probably like of Montreal more than you do, but Hissing Fauna definitely stands out as Kevin Barnes’ defining work.

Good call on both! Incidentally, I’m seeing Frightened Rabbit tomorrow night and they’re playing that album in full for its 10th anniversary. I am, as the French say, pretty stoked.

Maybe doesn’t count but I’m finally getting into CHVRCHES haha. Going through Perfume Genius’ back catalogue. Need to check out more Brendan Maclean since i really enjoyed his Stupid. Probably should learn about more but I go through music slowly/until it becomes an unavoidable earworm like CHVRCHES has become (that

So is New York City itself like the main character in this show?

I have told this story in the past, but on June 28th, 2010 my then-wife told me she was leaving me. On June 29th, the Frightened Rabbit cover of Confetti was the new Undercover series release. I’d never heard anything by them before, but I broke down sobbing at my desk at work as I listened to it. They were the first

I’m going to go with Tom Petty, Hard Promises. As always he finds a way to find the hope among the bitterness. You’ve got the heartbreak of A Woman in Love and the don’t let the bastards keep you down fighting spirit of The Waiting (possibly his best song), the voyage of discovery in King’s Road and optimism of A

Yep yep. Playing victim all the time can lead to a lot of negative or destructive thinking.
