tbh the target demographic is very small: it me

I can personally say that the lollia hand creme is fucking DIVINE. a friend who worked at Saks gave this to me one year and I swear that shit is magic. it leaves your hands feeling like you’ve never worked a day of your life. it also smells amazing (I had the “Breathe” scent that’s pictured). Fuck your friends, treat

I love a good gift suggestion list, and this is a solid one, but it’s more “Gifts for Your Upscale Romantic Friend.”

Family came home one day to find that I had on impulse donated our daily dinnerware and replaced all of it with my grandmother’s royal albert bone china. I later visited my mom and discovered she had done the same thing with my grandparents’s wedding china and silver. The only drawback is she has to polish the silver

coming here to say that the fanciest bitch in my life is me.

I too am the fanciest bitch in my life, and it's a problem. Sorry, not sorry that my Christmas wish list last year included marble cheese trays and a chandelier.

Oh my dog, The Swing. I majored in art history and I cannot express the degree to which I despise that painting. Seeing it on my screen as I scrolled through this story made me angry, literally.

Hemtrails! Spotlights can’t melt high heels!

CONCUR ON ALL POINTS. Jane’s How To Be A Girl entries on the Hairpin were the thing that made me go “hrm, maybe beauty blogs are fun, and not just a venue for swatches and ads.” Super pissed about this, and as much as I like some of the content on Jez, if it’s one or the other...I’d definitely pick Millihelen. :(

I can’t believe millihelen is over and Jane Marie is leaving (or worse, being pushed out). This is by far one of the best Jezebel’s sub-blog, I love, love Deep Cuts, the 24 hours Beauty Diaries, the mall makeovers stories, the talk about make-up and beauty routines, the tips and tricks...and of course the best part is

Aw, Millihelen and The Slot have become my favorite sub-blogs.

I enjoy it, but it also makes me sad that for so many people that is only how they know him (though that is better than them not knowing of him at all). My personal favorite is the “everybody has McDonald’s of the soul”.

he is fucking amazing.

i saw his show over the summer and he did the hotpockets joke and I actually cried because I was so happy

I don’t think people are yukking it up at the tragic deaths of the people on the plane. The article is mostly a meditation on the tiny, tiny pedestrian things that go on in everyone’s daily life, and how they sometimes can make the difference between life and death. Alarm doesn’t go off? Miss your flight? On United

It actually is funny. And the deaths are tragic. And the loss of property is unfortunate. Many people are able to have more than one emotion at the same time. Laughing at the hot pocket thing isn’t the same as laughing at the people who lost their lives, nor does it detract from their loss.

I’m seeing his show on Saturday, and now I kind of hope I have some sort of opportunity to ask him about this.

Read this while listening to the new Missy and I am just filled to the brim with black girl magic right now.

What decade is this photo from? It seems to transcend time...

you couldn’t find a more lame-ass story about a celebrity if you tried
