Calling a random woman an older sister in the context of a competitive game, the women I spoke to, says it comes with a tone of like, you’re older and incapable, why are you even playing video games? but yeah, Mind below here sort of nailed it here. It’s a way of being condescending to a woman who’s playing Overwatch.

It’s how Korean men in these games talk about D.va or act around people who play her - being a woman in that environment especially when you look towards D.va positively, it’s indicative of larger attitudes. You’re not crazy but I spoke to a few women while in the course of writing this that said that the way men talk…
