For a car that basically runs two Le Mans a year, it doesn’t suprise me that drivetrain components start to become wear items.
According to their website, they charge ~$513 usd per lap in the RSR GTR. According to their numbers, that is over $230,000 in revenue annually just from this one car. Almost $700,000 of revenue in the three years discussed above just from this one car. Nice.
Why don’t they just make the tires soft enough to require a pit stop or two. This will make the cars faster and add back strategy.
