I have this issue too! I cook and his argument is "well you are the one who uses the dishes so you should clean them" or "you use more dishes than me". After some time I decided I would only cook if he promised to help me with clean up; he did not. So now I don't cook for him anymore. I cook for me and do my dishes.…

I have a similar situation, but instead of a filthy house my boyfriend grew up in a house where he could be filthy and his mother cleaned everything, all the time. God. He has no idea how to clean anything and has no real interest in learning. This is the biggest problem in our relationship.
