I feel dumber for having watched that video. That should be shown everywhere to discredit 'Intelligent Design' proponents by showing that moronic people like this exist - thus completely disproving the "Intelligent" part of the argument.

All the crap over Apple maps seems like making a mountain out of a molehill.* The maps app has been perfectly fine for me (in and around Philadelphia), and is in my opinion better than the old Google maps, in that it has Turn by Turn, and even the regular (non-voiceover) maps is better.

Get a DVR, set up your recordings. When the show airs, wait 15 min an then start the show from the beginning. FF through the commercials.

that'd be great, but the problem is set design; they won't have the budget to build new sci-fi sets every week. And re-purposing the same sets over and over will look cheap.

Not really. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed. They're using energy to separate the seawater into elements that can be combusted. Then they are lighting it on fire, which puts off energy. So the system as a whole is balanced.

This was one of the better pilots I've seen in WHILE. It was tense, exciting, had some genuinely good dialogue, and I couldn't always guess 10 min in advance what was going to happen next.

If you really think it's a trivial incremental improvement, then you kinda don't get it. It's actually a fairly substantial upgrade in every measurable way. processor power, screen quality (not just size), form factor, software, camera... everything. (With an argument to be made that maps is worse, but it works for me…

Is anyone else having battery life issues? My phone gets maybe 30% less life than my iphone 4 did. It's mostly dead by 5 or 6 pm. (Doubly annoying since nobody has a car charger for it yet.)

I imagine the energy needed to power the radio wave generator (in order to make the salt water flammable) is probably a break-even proposition. And that's why we haven't heard more about this.

Agree, I was bracing for something really bad (or dumb), but it was just a standard dig. 'Boys like comic books.' Considering most of the thing is hyperbole; Iron Man is second string, nobody likes Cap, Thor is boring, etc... this was perfectly in line with the rest of the tone.
