My backlog doesn’t get in the way of my hype. My hype gets in the way of my backlog.

Ohh look, another guy who has zero leadership knowledge commenting about leadership.

This seems like such an odd argument. Why wouldn’t Kotaku cover all aspects of game culture? It’s very much exactly what they’re here for. Plus, what they reported on is a 1) public YouTube video with 2) a custom thumbnail that 3) has 40K views and 4) has a link to another video giving instructions on how to install

Probably ‘cause it sounds good

The people who play all the time just aren’t talking about it as much. It still has an active playerbase.

Because CTF is a horrific game mode in Overwatch.

A manga hotel you say?

“I fart in your general direction!”

To be pedantic, no, it’s not “always” that way. Language is flexible.

I don’t play Fortnite really and I watch twitch maybe 3 or 4 times in a year and I’ve never actually watched Ninja stream BUT I respect the guy. He seems like a pretty decent person who has his priorities in order and is willing to grow and stand up for that growth.

I’d echo the others. The GCN controller is great, but this obsession with it for SSB is mostly nostalgia for Melee. You’ll play equivalently well with either option. And I’d even argue that the Pro Controller’s triggers are better since SSB doesn’t benefit from analog triggers and the extra travel distance on the GCN t

I’m using the pro-controller and it’s fine. The joy cons are fine too.

I use the Switch Pro Controller. I dusted off my original GameCube controller to try it out, and I hate it. I only had a couple GC games, and Smash Bros wasn’t one of them. I have no nostalgia for the GC controller, and it’s always been one of my least liked controllers of all time. I don't understand the appeal.

You’ll fine with the pro, but the default button layout is the same as the GCN controller despite the buttons being in a totally different layout, so I’d change it. Put jump on B and the attacks on X/Y. Have fun, good luck!

Nah, Pro controller is just fine. People are only fanatical about GC controllers because it’s what they’re used to. If you didn’t grow up playing Smash with a GC controller, you’ll be perfectly fine with a Switch Pro controller.

Pro controller is fine, I’ve played every smash game with the current consoles controllers and I’ve never had a problem being competitive with the GC controller die-hards.

Your last point is the deciding issue. Try the Pro first. The GC controller is really good, but if you don’t have to battle muscle memory there’s no sense in investing in one.

I subconsciously read this in your voice.

Here, let me help you with that:
