Most people who work as drivers aren’t doing so for lack of other qualifications, but for lack of other opportunities.

“I don’t know these people! What if they think I’m a total dork, or they ask me why I’m being so nice, or they yell at me?”
Elizabeth Swaney scammed everyone to get there. So yeah, maybe she wasn’t supposed to be there because she didn’t get there by her own merits.
Yeah, yeah.
That’s what you’re doing. Stripping it out of context.
Their job isn’t to win. It isn’t to deliver 50 out of 50 packages. Their job is to play well.
“These guys are professionals and in context, they are the worst in the league right now.”
With this I agree. They are still not terrible. Just the worst in the league.…
That’s nice, but I actually used to play tennis on a, you could say, semi-professional level. So... yeah. I’m kinda into sports.
So, I’m “virtue signaling” that doing something wrong is wrong?
I don’t disagree with what you’re saying. I even said something similar myself. But the fact that it’s common practice doesn’t make it right. It wouldn’t be hard to say that “they are doing terribly” and it would be the truth. But saying “they are terrible” is personal and potentially offensive for them. Also false.
Exactly. In the case of the Olympics, each and every athlete competing there is among the best in their continent. One thing we can be pretty much sure they aren’t is “terrible”.
“No, you are judge by who you compete with”
Not pedantic. Just, as a journalist, I’d try not to be personal. Calling a team terrible is personally offensive for them.
Maybe say “they are the worse in the competition”. That would be relative. That would be a comparison.
So you’re saying that when you call the worst NBA team “terrible” you don’t actually mean it?
That’s pretty much irrelevant. They are still among the best in the world.
Maybe not being on the OWL?
Although that makes some kind of sense, it doesn’t make it right either. Because there’s a difference between being bad at a game and playing with people who are better than you.
You’re welcome, captain moron.
Well, Zen needs people to JUST FREAKING HIT THAT FREAKING DISCORDED PHARAH THAT’S SLOWLY FLYING ABOVE YOU!
Well, in Moira’s defense, a good tracer is trouble for anyone.
“The Dragons are terrible”
