I'd guess because only women get an engagement ring (which is okay, I HATE rings and don't want her to have to waste the stupid $$$ I'll eventually spend on her) so we have to get the ring so we're the one's asking.

I disagree with this specific situation while whole-heartedly agreeing that most rom-com stunts will get you a stalking charge. If he'd showed up at her home with a truck full of roses, sure. But an online attempt to reconnect with someone he found pleasant and thought he connected with? That's worth a shot imo
A woman has done similar things to me. It's not just guys (though I will say we have a much, much higher percentage of creeps.) Not trying to throw shade on this but stories like this come out and it's like this board thinks sexism doesn't exist unless it's done to women. Saying, "Dudes are the fucking worst"…
That's just not true any more than the guy would. Some people will think it's creepy, IMO even more when the guy does it because of the different power dynamics and whatnot. I feel like this article is really trying to find a way to be offended at something that's sweet and doesn't need this negative spin on it.
don't let the truth stop the strawman this article's put together
Eh, it happens sometimes. You get talking and lose track of time. I one met a girl at a bar and we talked for hours and went to leave and almost walked away before realizing we'd forgotten to exchange numbers... or names! If you get lost in great conversation the other stuff can fall by the wayside and when it does…
that is awesome!
I know people like this. They're the same people that won't ever make poop jokes and act like sex is only a thing in movies. Essentially, they're kind of prude about everything in general and think it's inappropriate to talk about anything under any circumstances that wouldn't be considered an okay dinner topic with…
THIS! This is what bothers me most about the abortion argument. I'm pro-choice but can see both sides of it, but if you're going to be pro-life you also need to be pro-welfare and support Obamacare (in some form) and every other thing seen as "handouts" that are VITAL to many people to support their children or…
Ya, I reread it again afterwards and caught that part cuz I figured I was missing something. Thanks for pointing that out.
That's not fair to say men have no idea any more than it's fair to make a sweeping generalization about all women. In a site like this I'd expect better.
MRAs are notorious for hateful little tantrums like that.
Oh fucking stop it. This is what assholes on Twitter do. Anyone with a big stage that's not asking for cat videos or about Neil Degrasse Tyson is gonna get shit like this. This isn't a sexism issue, it's a there's-too-many-fucking-assholes-on-the-internet issue.
I feel like that's a negligent homicide charge if one of us did it on the road though, no?
10-6??? In that division?!? I like your squad a lot for the future but you're finishing last this year.
It's almost like he's young and also the best prospect in a decade so there's some projection going on there too. WEIRD
"As a lifelong Colts fan I have two teams because I'm not actually a real Colts fan"
Ray Lewis covered up for someone else, Marvin Harrison did the murdering. Big difference even though I wouldn't want either of them over my house
I don't think he's even eligible yet dude. And if he is, it's like his first year and they HAD to get Andre Reed and Cris Carter in before the Moss/TO/Harrison/Holt group comes up. There's no doubt he gets in pretty soon.
I can't help shake the feeling that our new superstar has exactly the same problem as the old one. The Colts as a team, turned the ball over 14 times in 16 regular season games last year. Amazing. However, as soon as the playoffs come around Luck stops just looking like Hodor and actually plays like him (9 turnovers…
