I've still got a bottle of that stuff sitting on a shelf downstairs. That's my retirement fund right there!

Wait, it's showing on the 10th and 11th but the tickets you win are only valid on the 13th and 14th? What're you trying to pull, avclub?!
You and me both. Silence in particular basically ended up being my favorite album of 2014 (and there was plenty of music I loved in 2014). I'd made one of my regular visits to his tumblr just a couple of days ago just in case he'd release another of these.
Spoilerrrrs… Hmm, I didn't get the vibe that they'd forgone happiness at the ending - I'm sure they spent some time sad after they effectively broke up, and clearly felt some sudden and unexpected melancholy when they ran into each other by chance in the club, but I didn't get the feeling that they were unhappy, or…
Do you think they mean "last" as in "most recent?"
See, that's the problem you have as someone who's got a legacy of gothness - like 95% of my wardrobe remains all black, so the fact that I'm in all black today is hardly noteworthy. Alas! #gothworldproblems
The college in town has outdoor movie nights during summer, and I've always been weirded out that so many of their selections come from my generation's childhood movies (I'm fast approaching 40, so we're talking the usual 80s, early 90s stuff) and relatively few from the kids currently actually in college. Space Jam…
Heh, as I said on a NIN-specific message board: I just don't buy that posting a different opinion about an album seventeen years after the initial review qualifies as "revisionist history." There's plenty of reasons to hate Pitchfork, but that one's just mystifying to me. Opinions change, and I can't get upset that…
The original is still online, and still the first Google hit for "The Fragile Pitchfork" - http://pitchfork.com/review…
There's even some recent precedent for it in blockbuster franchises, when they had to recast Dumbledore in the middle of the Harry Potter movies.
Baaaaah, I totally was. This is why one shouldn't comment on the internet while low on sleep.
As good a place as any for this, I guess: Why the heck has it become so difficult to Ctrl-W an avclub.com tab, semi-recently, on Firefox? I'm not sure exactly when that started happening, since for awhile I think I'd assumed it was something to do with my browser being weird, but I'm increasingly of the opinion that…
I occasionally use a teapot still, though admittedly not very often, since it's quicker to just boil water in the microwave. Aesthetically, many teapots are quite good-looking, and there's a certain amount of lazy ceremony in putting one on to boil. A little break out of the day when you'd rather not be doing much…
Wait wait, posting on the AV Club isn't cool?
I sort of doubt anyone's playing Quiddich because they think it's conventionally "cool." There's something to be said for owning the stupid shit you do for fun.
I'm with you on totally not liking the song, though the weirdness off the production/samples is the one thing I do like about it. It does have a nice, weird off-kilter feel to it, mainly because the samples are so bizarre. Put some different lyrics and vocals on top and I'd be happier with it.
I found it funny because LOL SEXISM IN THE ORIGINAL VIDEO, actually.
Ominous!
I really hate it when sites have a top-bar thing which pops into view when you scroll down. I had figured I'd give The Dissolve a try but that keeps annoying me too much to actually stay on the site.
Odd that the AV Club ate your HREF there… I assume you were linking to:
