It seems the author and the commenters are unfamiliar with SpaceX. Unlike NASA, SpaceX tests early and often, and the failures, which are expected, are fixed early and often. Every one of their spectacularly reliable technologies was preceded be spectacular fireballs and crashes.

It’s actually very precise, for comparison:

Yeah, Apple surely needs to be taken down for their monopoly on the phone market in the US with their towering [checks notes] 60% market share.

boy the DOJ has its work cut out if we are trying to use colors on a screen in an anti trust case.

They accuse Apple of building a monopoly with the iPhone.”

Pretty good round-up!

They also want to classify ANYTHING that acknowledges the existence of LGBTQ+ people as porn, so they can ban that next.

Myst, Asteroids and SimCity are no-brainers

I did not blow up in orbit, it blew up during re-entry. If it were any other rocket in the world, it would have not tried to re-enter, as second-stages simply remain in orbit after deploying a payload.

I would put my money (if I were a betting person) on it breaking up due to aerodynamic forces as a result of an unfavorable reentry attitude. I would not call that an explosion. Sad to say, the most comparable event in past history would be the loss of the Space Shuttle Columbia; the breakup happens due to mechanical

They were, despite some issues on the flight. But...

We blew up A LOT of rockets before getting to Saturn...

Huzzah! Rapid-fire testing really is the best way to solve these problems. SpaceX’s willingness to endure the jeers from the no-nothing crowd as they launched rockets they knew would probably fail (they just didn’t know why they would fail yet) is extremely commendable and brave. And now here we are, only on launch 3,

Hes not really involved in the company anymore.  Apparently if you want DoD contracts you can’t be a drug addled un-predictable CEO.  He would like you to think he is, and he will still do the PR stuff, but in reality he is not involved a whole lot.

Have we EVER had that level of visual detail from a re-entry? That was beautiful!

What a rollercoaster ride! Booster lasting up until it hit the cloud layer and then appeared to start wobbling/tumbling and likely RUDed, what a crazy view that was though as it was falling! Woow! :D
