So that’s what I mean by you get “less”. Instead of the screen expanding horizontally to fit 2.35:1 ratio films, it now shrinks vertically.
In other words, whereas 2.35:1 once meant that you were getting more screen, now you’re actually getting less.

In the early days of the iPod, iTunes was a Mac-only app. That move definitely hurt the iPod’s early adoption, since only Mac owners could use them.
I would worry most for the consumer. Apple services (Apple Music, iTunes store and whatnot) tend to become for Apple products and, while I doubt it, I could see people on Android or Roku or whatnot losing out on Netflix.
