I'd like to add a plug for my favorite 10-2-1 sketch: The Chicken Lady Talk Show, from the first episode of the 1995-96 season (Season 21). It was Mark McKinney's first SNL show, and I think they wanted to see if he could bring the Chicken Lady to SNL as a recurring character.
Has anyone been tracking the ratings for this show this season? My uneducated impression is that it seems to be doing juuuuust well enough to merit a pickup, even though it's presumably an expensive show to produce. And NBC doesn't exactly have a lot of critically-acclaimed programming these days; I just don't see…
