As an ardent Jack Vance fan, I have to say that Cugel ranks about even with Kirth Gersen as my favorite character. I’ve read those books over and over. Also I’ve read the tribute anthology. And of the latter, none of which I minded having taken the time to read, Kage Baker’s is likely the only one I’d read again…
