I was a victim of those barrels when I was a kid as well.. Though I had to jump on it repeatedly and could not get the timing down at all.

I'm with him in thinking Sonic 2 is the best, but I mean, bias tends to cloud my judgement because it was my very first console and console game.
The half-pipe stages were fun, but they always felt way too uncontrollable for me. At least Blue Sphere was only up to your skill and reflexes, whereas I always ended up doing accidental loops in the latter when trying to get the coins.
Truly, the end of times is nigh.
Nostalgia tends to affect our views, but thankfully we're having a fun, civilized discussion about personal preferences, so that's all cool. People do tend to believe overall that Sonic 2 was the best considering the same arguments you used at first, but Sonic 3 will always be closer to my heart.
(and that stupid red barrel where you have to push up & down on the controller had me stuck for HOURS before I figured it out)
It's not impossible, but instead of jumping over the claws, you have to hit between the claw and the legs on the final boss' robot. I died a couple times before figuring out exactly where and when I could hit that, kind of sucks when you only have 1 chance because there's 0 rings! lol
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONET
What a cool idea! I louvre it.
Nintendo has announced today the release of Nintendo 3DS Guide: Louvre for the 3DS eShop, and to celebrate this,…
Game: Super Mario Galaxy
I have a terrible confession to make.
I'm starting to hate Smooth McGroove.
Rather, I'm starting to hate that I always seem to see his stuff whenever I come on. I enjoy listening to him, but it almost feels like anyone I talk to, or any gaming website I go to I hear about something new that Mr. McGroove has done. Call…
Yeah it's so weird that people enjoy structurally similar and beautifully executed action puzzle games with charming characters and a fun world on a biannual basis.
It's a little annoying when people post pictures of an art piece they don't quite understand and make fun of it and then proceed to insinuate that it isn't really art.
Streets of Rage 2... easily one of the greatest soundtracks of the 16-bit era.
Am I the only one that happens to think this is an actual photo? They stand in the diffuse shadow and are clearly lit by a flash - thus the shadowing away from the camera. The lighting on all characters and the background is consistent. The shadows of the people on the ground are visible only on the furthest…
Protip from someone who worked retail: we talk shit about you behind your back all the time. It's how we cope.
Nintendo, you make criticizing you far too easy... What a dismal offering. Was there even much point in hosting a direct for any of this?
Also of interest is a montage of indie Wii U titles shown during Europe's Ninty Dict.
I'm a gamer, and I've never played GTA.
