Personally I've Invested into the Swarovski Z6 5-30x50, I have a lot of people tell me that it's just too much overkill, but the zoom is great, the eye relief is amazing and the twilight factor really makes a difference at early sunrise. And well to be honest I really like the App that comes with it.

How do like the glass on the Leupold VX-6?

Thats awesome that you shoot with a Weatherby. I've been out at the Angeles Shooting Range often with my little brother practicing our long range shots, It's one of the few spots in LA where you can shoot at a decent lang range for rifles. I primarily shoot with Weatherby 30-378 while he shoots with Remington .300

I happen to see the Rim Fire over the labor day weekend. It's troubling to see how quickly spot fires can take off and engulf a side of a mountain despite all the fire-retardant they dump on it.
