I actually like Incendies better than anything else he's done. It's the movie that made me sit up and keep watch on his career, and was my 2nd favourite film of 2010 (which was one of the strongest years I can think of for film in the past twenty years). Either way, well worth checking out.

I think you're right actually. There is a key detail that the camera focuses on in the scene when she comes to his place: namely, there were already two wine glasses ready before she even walked in the door which implies he knew she was coming (yet her dialogue implies she came to find him only when she couldn't find

This album really reveals itself after a few spins…it's hit me emotionally in a way music hasn't made me feel since Arcade Fire's The Suburbs. It's so different from Channel Orange (yet makes complete sense as an evolution) that it can be initially disorienting as you wait for something more conventionally propulsive

Apple Music is officially calling it Blonde with the artwork saying Blond. This is all probably very intentional by Ocean. The album is most likely called both Blond and Blonde, considering how much he's playing with gender in not only the music but in the video for Nikes.

Add Incendies to that to make it Incendies-Prisoners-Enemy-Sicario. Incendies is the best of the four imo and deserves a spot. I also haven't seen Maelstrom or Polytechnique but I hear Polytechnique is rather great.

Yeah they're close friends. Their kids have dated each other.

I admire Prisoners too but I think Incendies is the real powerhouse of Villeneuve's filmography, though you may have issues with the final act there as well as some do (I don't personally…I think it elevates it to a new level). One of the most absorbing, thrillingly dense storytelling experiences I've seen onscreen.
