Geez I gotta do everything around here
When I was in high school, I had a teacher who told us: “If I give you a three page writing assignment, I’m going to knock off a letter grade for every page over three. After five, I stop reading and if you haven’t said what you need to say by then, you get an ‘F’.”
typos. You knew that, right?
He’s talking in reference to the Flag Smashers, saying that their lives got worse when everyone else’s got better. He’s definitely not intended to be speaking about them sympathetically. And white people are often “hurt” by affirmative action/other practices, in that their positions of superiority and higher quality…
I don’t think that’s an accident; as the difference in reactions between Sam and Sarah show us after the bank scene, his time in the service might have put some blinders on him when it comes to systemic issues.
Agreed. HLOTS was The Wire before we had The Wire.
Homicide may be my all time favorite cop drama; I view it in many ways as superior to the later Wire. Definitely give it a go.
I will join you on that hill, because Homicide is absurdly underrated and Kotto deserves as much credit as Braugher for his fantastic performance.

So, I think they should pass a law that all folks over 65 need to get a dementia screening within a week before voting, and have…
We just had four years of a man who was a bloviating conspiracy theorist who had no grasp on basic science or history.
Piers Morgan is Tucker Carlson with a posh accent.
Ahhh... so he’s an incel too. Good to know.
Joke of the year in 2020 was Shaun Diston and Scott Aukerman, while discussing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, referring to New York as “sort of like the fifth turtle.”
As it has been said: Fear the rise of the competent Trump.
Sounds like someone needs their neighbor to beat the shit out of them again...
I’d be interested to know how this breaks down next to number of available minutes. After all, WandaVision has 7 episodes available and is in its infancy, and CM is a giant 224-ep behemoth.
