Considering mods as a kind of a fanwork, is this much different from fan artists who have a patreon and exclusive patreon art?

They are also doing that:
Our team will continue to work on the project, as well as our other games in development, including a brand new single-player experience; we look forward to sharing more soon.”

It’s both? Disney’s response to the bill was the bare minimum one should expect and they only did it AFTER it had passed and their employees (and everyone else) criticized them immensely for not taking more of a stand. They should be rightfully criticized for that. At the same time, the fact that such a lukewarm

the lazy naming of the powers”

we’re docking points off the game just because the powers state what they are plainly and clearly?

this may shock, but queer people can also have families and be parents.

As said in the article, they were largely pointing out these huge ballooning development costs to show that saying “they can just make their own CoD-esque game to compete with CoD” isn’t really that feasible as most companies cannot easily throw $1billion onto a CoD-competitor to even try and compete at the same level.

It’d be nice to say it’s just her personal business but when dealing with contagious diseases that can be spread asymptomatically her refusing to wear a mask also puts everyone who has to work with her at an increased risk.

Masks still are effective. There’s more than enough evidence to show that they lower risk (one recent study with largely cherrypicked results almost entirely from before COVID even hit isn’t really the end-all on masks). No one method is fullproof which is why it has always been suggested to do a multiple of things to

I mean the idea is to use both masks and vaccines to limit spread and risk of catching it because catching it multiple times (even when fully vaccinated) dramatically increases the risk of developing neurological problems in a person with each subsequent infection.

Everyone seems primed to react to these articles defensively or whatever, but honestly, in this case, it’s something I picked up on as well during my first watch of the show. They’re definitely treating Ellie differently and trying to push that she is more innately violent than in the game. To me it seems clear to be

I mean, you know Joel doesn’t bring that up because he KNOWS it IS what Ellie would have wanted and he actually DOESNT want Ellie to have a choice because he would still stop it anyway. That’s kind of the point of that moment. Joel knows Marlene is right when she says that.

The showrunners have expressed no desire to be free of the source material or to go beyond it. They only plan on covering what the games do and when they run out of games they will halt the show.

I mean they also literally encounter an entire community of people where everyone works together and takes care of each other and are clearly an example where humanity IS worth saving.

Completely agree. The Bill/Frank ep was transcendent, everything else was largely just okay or fine. In so many cases where the game and the show had the same scenes, the game was just... better? Better performed, better written, better “shot”.

Think you misinterpreted the articles in the hospital. They do not reveal that they had other immune people, they reveal that attempts to make a vaccine from infected patients always failed but that Ellie’s immunity “is like nothing they’ve ever seen”.

it’s interesting bringing up bill and frank because i actually think their story reveals joel’s selfishness. when frank wants to kill himself, bill doesn’t stop him, he doesn’t thwart his suicide attempt or decide for him. he doesn’t swap out the poison and lie to him. joel when confronted with a similar situation,

i mean the whole thing is just in service of creating an excuse for the individual episodes to happen. if you enjoy the self-contained stories of the show then this is just promising more of them. poker face is really not trying to tell a serialized story.

honestly, charlie becoming a cop would ruin her character imo. im glad the show is steering away from that. i dont really need more copaganda in my life personally lol.

Yeah I totally agree. I think that’s the thing that I really love about Charlie (and Poker Face in general) is that they *like* people. The show is deeply concerned with characters’ humanities and in particular for those kinds of people who fall through the cracks or get looked down on. There’s a point in the premiere

If you don’t like episode murder mystery shows than it very much will not be your thing as that is what the show is.
