I have it on good authority from participants that the race was completely rigged. No race times were ever posted and VERY surprised that racers from Dubai came in second. Looks like they wanted to have a good story with the young winner. I’m sure he was good, but heard many racers who didn’t finish were in the finals…

Robotech/Macross and Akira are the only 2 anime that I can watch. Everything else is lame IMO. As a kid, Tranzor-Z (Mazinger) and G-Force (Battle of the Planets, Gatchamon) was cool, too. But I don’t think they hold up. But he Macross Saga does and New Generation. Masters was lame, too.
