I don’t have a real dog in this fight but you just described an everyday occurrence in LA. Several days a week in the Bay Area and at least once a week in the the San Diego area. Like normal days. Not the weekend, a cruise night or special location or anything like that. Trick car spotting in Ca requires zero effort

Counterpoint:

Excellent piece, thank you! The very first car I was able to choose all by my teen-aged self was a 76 280z. Loved the car, would love to have a modern version of it.

Easy question; there’s one over there somewhere, and over there somewhere, and over there somewhere and over there somewhere. At least I think that’s where they are, leave me alone; I’m running to home depot again.

Would seriously send several thousand dollars as a deposit right now at those prices with a NA announcement and would just not consider anything from VW due to bad experiences. Just because a car fits in a category does not make them equal. The only purpose would be to do my short work commute most every day.

I really hope that the design is mostly dictated by aero performance and cost savings in panel production. Otherwise... I just don’t understand why they look so damned bad.

I’m still pissed I can’t buy a similar NA legal FJ along these lines. Go little suzuki, go and be great.

I am more than a little surprised at the number of people complaining that it’s hard to go rogue. It’s supposed to be. You should be doing it not for rewards, but because that’s the top of the game mechanics. It’s bragging rights and testing your ability in the game. A better leaderboard might make it more fun too, I
