Tiniest, briefest, most inconsequential brush with celebrity. My family and I along with my best friend and his family were attending our company’s annual picnic at a western Pennsylvania amusement park. Most of the kids are all off doing their thing and it’s just us four parents and maybe two of the youngest kids.

Most of the time, all you need in a knife fight is a knife.

Which is essentially the type of warfare we've been fighting since the end of WWII.

Bigger, faster, more complex, more expensive. Those are the only things DoD is willing to buy anymore. Did we NOT learn anything in Vietnam? That technological superiority doesn't guarantee victory?

They were taken in space. Which we know still to this day is a tremendously hard and difficult thing to do. This makes every single one of them, even if one were taken with the lens cap still on, amazing. They were the best this country could do.

Seeing Bond as a less suave blunt instrument is WONDERFUL. Daniel Craig totally redefines and reinvigorates the character.

All it takes is 1% for space. If we had that much in predictable funding annually and then the politicians kept their collective noses out of it, we COULD be constructing the building blocks to Mars right now. Unfortunately, as the political winds blow, so does the space program.

Actually this was my favorite episode of the series. With the knowledge of everyone being a carrier, and in the end the final destruction of the last CDC facility, it signified the end of any semblance of a pre-zombie society, the end of hope.
