They got screwed over pretty hard - like the Russians waited for the Nazis to wipe them out, then they beat the Nazis and took over.

Lots of people care or at least they should - our military power is a responsibility to the world. We’ve really screwed up with it lately, but its a responsibility that used to be important and used for good things.

I totally agree with that - it was a worldwide effort to beat Hitler and the US did not suffer anywhere close to the casualties or infrastructure damage other allies did like Russia, France, and the UK.

We would have lost the war without them....money, training, guns, uniforms - they saved our asses and it absolutely was our responsbility to help them out in both World Wars.

By “We” I hope you mean the Allies, which mostly consisted of American and British troops with some help from the Free French Forces, Canadians and Australians.

In general, like statistically, people are terrible. Very unusual to help strangers, especially if it could in any way endanger your self (like getting charged for accessing the stream for example). People think there is safety in crowds but there is not. The crowd will watch the attack happen, maybe one or two people…
