I would bet money that she’s got one of those setups where all the stylists are “contractors” who have to pay her “chair rent”, but don’t get any of the rights or protections that they would have as an actual employee.

“My father was a marine who fought to protect the laws and government of this country. That is why I demand the right to break those laws and defy that government.”

What is especially dumb about this woman and her cause is that hairstylists can still work without the salons opening. Plenty of people (on the down low) have had hairstylists visit their homes to complete touch-ups and haircuts. While this is technically against stay-at-home orders, depending on the logistics (only

I loved going to the grocery store and farmer’s markets before. I love to cook so going to the store was fun. I shop from a list but maybe something interesting would catch my eye, and I would pick it up and take it as a fun cooking challenge, especially at the farmer’s market.

Same. Going grocery shopping was one of the few errands I genuinely enjoyed, even looked forward to — just browsing up and down the aisles, looking at new products, musing over the marketing behind some products I never buy, etc.

My sweet girl (RIP) used to stand at the door to our patio and meow/cackle/hiss at these GIANT crows that would land on our fence and tease her. Being a lifelong inside cat, I knew that if she were to realize her dream of breaking free of her confines she would immediately get snatched up and carried off like Billy

PPE for cats will be so cute though!

I genuinely think there are similarities. They have accomplished very little in their lives before suddenly landing on national prominence late in the game — Trump inherited his wealth and leveraged local tabloids to weave a public persona of a fabulously wealthy and successful “businessman” despite bankrupting

I live in WI and see many people shouting about why didn’t we just vote absentee? To head that off, the city clerks in the three biggest cities (Madison, Milwaukee, and Green Bay) are tens of thousands of requests behind. People who requested 2-3 weeks ago have not received theirs - and the stay at home order was

There’s nothing wrong with going once a week. We probably go far too often because we just don’t keep much food in the house and people are still over-buying here even though we don’t have a lot of cases (No one has flour OR TP). This town has always been populated by paranoid people. If an inch of snow is predicted

I’ve got a list for you: 1. Leave this site. 2. Close your browser 3. Log off your computer (or whatever). No need to repeat; just stay home AND stay off of social media.

I’m a high-risk person because of medical history, and I took advantage of my local chain’s early-morning hours.

I’ve managed to reduce it to once a week, as I’m too forgetful and disorganized go only once every 2 weeks. I used to stop every Friday night after work and get stuff for the weekend, but that’s a no-go now because it’s usually crowded. I have a good time to go now, but don’t want to say, lest everyone starts showing

I think at this point, it’s best not to over worry about things you can’t control. People online are either freaking out, or being dumb asses. We should find a middle ground. Follow the rules in place as best you can, and that’s all we can do.

The co-worker with type 2 diabetes has been approved to work from home. “Oh, you poor dear. You should stay home and not get sick. But the stone we’re squeezing blood from? Yeah, we’re gonna need her family’s blood, too.”

You forgot the most important thing: stay inside your homes.

If anybody asks me whether I’ve stocked up, I’ll tell them I have two bottles of Maker’s Mark.

Last weekend I thought I did a decent job on stocking up on stuff we may need if we have to be housebound for a while. Then everything went fucking insane, and I’ve been working from home since Tuesday, and I have generalized anxiety disorder, so I woke up yesterday in full on panic mode. Decided to take an “early

My neighborhood grocery store was nearly out of milk and frozen pizzas. The TP aisle was decimated, like the zombie apocalypse had diarrhea. Bizarrely, the fresh mushrooms and bulk potatoes were completely gone. Everything else was fully stocked, and employees were stocking shelves while I was there.

I live in Montana, aka one of the last places with no known cases (per the CDC a Montana resident who has been out of state for 5 months has it so some outlets claim Montana has a case). Today I finally decided I should get a bit of extra supplies in case people start panicking here and I can’t even find normal
