He could have been Secretary of State

I was thinking Kathy Bates as Bannon.

British person here. We are pretty much rubbing our hands together with glee at the prospect of a Trump visit. Every comedy show is endlessly mocking him and even the newscasters are saying things like”we tried to find someone who supports Trump but we couldn’t find anyone” (this happened twice just in a week). He is

The Queen ought to send Charles to receive him. The Prince of Wales, being himself, almost immediately would start lecturing Trump on climate change. Trump would throw a tantrum.

I expect everything Trump’s said has been typed up and delivered to The Queen in her daily red leather box.

Oh, but I’d pay hard cash to hear Prince Phillip’s bon mots when meeting Trump. “Good Lord, man, I’ve hunted and discarded better looking stoats than the one on your head.” Or “That’s YOUR golf course? Oh dear. Well, there’s always a chance of some Irishman or some demmed Punjab blowing it up. Might earn the fellow a

Sunday’s WaPo paperback bestseller list has four books (out of ten) whose new popularity is clearly driven by concerns about 45 and President Bannon:
- The Handmaid’s Tale
- 1984
- Animal Farm
- It Can’t Happen Here (Sinclair Lewis)

While I’m personally not the biggest fan of the counter, it does make me sad that we are sacrificing brand reps who are incredibly well trained on the products that they carry. It used to be that if you wanted an executive job at L’Oreal, Lauder, etc., you started at the counter. That’s obviously changing.

It’s not just NY. Macy’s took over for Marshall Field’s in Chicago some years back. Four or five years ago, I went into a Macy’s in one of the nicer malls in an upscale part of the suburbs for Christmas gifts and it was a mess. Part of that was undoubtedly because of the Christmas rush, but still, the store wasn’t

I dislike Macy’s immensely. But, I live in Chicago where they took the the beautiful Marshall Fields and turned it into an ugly, gaudy nightmare. Seriously, it had been so elegant and beautiful, and then Macy’s came in and turned it into a red, black, and silver nightmare. It looks like a “bachelor pad” from a

This is karma for Macy’s shutting down Marshall Fields in Chicago.

Mother and I had the following reflections:

But if the left ignores him (i.e. doesn’t act), it’s not like he will just disappear. These are different times and the MAGANazis are feeling pretty great about themselves. They will promote him, with or without us, so we might as well stand up, loudly, to tell him he’s not welcome.

And this is why you don’t give a platform to Milo IN ANY CAPACITY. Gamergate taught us this shit. We know what these guys are like..

Milo might want to look at how being a fascist thug worked out for Ernst Rohm.

Perhaps a website that lists names alongside pictures (with lots of mirrors, clearly), and search engine optimize it so that’s what employers find. Make their name inextricably linked with the philosophy they themselves endorse, using the tactics they themselves endorse.

This was the same weekend that Richard Spencer was bitch-slapped, right? I remember finding it incredibly curious and distressing that the Spencer story got so much coverage compared to someone actually being shot at a protest by the sort of people who are emboldened by Spencer’s (and Milo!) hate rhetoric.

I’m sure the College Republicans who invited him are thrilled that this happened, because it lets them continue to wallow in their persecution complex.
