I was at Illinois during the 2005 National Championship game and think that UNC should vacate it, but don't give it to Illinois almost a decade later. It's a bitter pill to swallow knowing that your team may have won it if compliance departments at both UNC and the NCAA were doing their jobs instead of overlooking

Michigan isn't a complete culinary desert. My sister, a U of M alum, misses getting her Zingerman's fix. Then again, this is the same person who began a draft of a cover letter for a job in Chicago by listing the various restaurants that she missed (Girl and the Goat, Intelligentsia to name two).

It's not just a Mormon thing. In my very Catholic family, some variation of the funeral potatoes/cheesy hashbrown casserole is at most family gatherings. My cousin calls cheesy hashbrowns funeral potatoes because that was his mother's default dish to bring to a wake or to the deceased's family.

I moved to WI for work in summer 2013, then my parents relocated to SE WI for my dad's job in the winter. Neither of them can stand Walker, especially my mother who's a former teacher. My dad claims to be a Republican but he voted for Obama in 2008 and 2012, so I'm skeptical of his self identification. He's more

Even people who dislike Walker's politics and policies had concerns with the recall. There were some who didn't want round 2 of Tom Barrett v. Scott Walker. There were also some who worked in the private sector who felt that a very vocal minority was pushing it. There were some who felt that he deserved a full term

My dad is very fond of Leine's Summer Shandy, but feel since the family involvement in the company has decreased, so has the quality of the beer.
