“Stuck on CBS”? Oh no, being on a successful comedy on the most watched TV network and working with Alison Janney, how dreadful for her!

Not very far, considering Seinfeld and Simpsons were both 90s shows or earlier.
There’s no hill to die on. Everyone already knows this to be true. It was really funny. It was well crafted and easily made fun of the source material instead of trying to make jokes using the source material.
Not Another Teen Movie is funny!
SM’s whole success was shock value.
At the time, ever the businessman, Keenen shot clean versions of scenes (either tamped down or just complete alternate bits to replace the vulgar ones) so that they’d have versions to sell to hotels, TV, and airlines, as there’s no way an edited version of the R-version would be…
God, this. You said it better than I could, but I’ve often thought this. You look back at the ‘90s...and it was mostly fine! TV, fashion, film, and music. It was mostly fine. But the closer we as a society got to to 2001-2009, ugh. Everything just looks garish, uncomfortably so. Frosted tips! All the orange and purple…
Scary Movie 1 & 2 came out when I was like, 9 and 10, respectively. Weirdly, I ended up seeing these before watching the excellent Scream. And you’re right—it doesn’t make a lick of sense to parody what’s already satirical—but I still sometimes confuse the things that happened in one with what happened in the other.…
It is, actually.
Not Another Teen Movie is really funny. I will die on this hill.
good thing you’re here to make noise.
Please don’t be a mockumentary, please don’t be a mockumentary, please don’t be a mockumentary.
Eh maybe, but Gervais will be employed this time next month, which is something that can’t be said for you and your coworkers.
So, is this going to be another of those perfectly valid words, like ‘bossy’, we’re not allowed to use anymore?
I don’t care what Roseanne the actress does - she is a crazy person if you ask me LOL BUT there are enough sane people writing for the show and producing the show that saves the show despite Roseanne LOL
But the fact is Dan’s storyline about losing jobs to undocumented workers is real that does happen and when it does it does make it hard for people in Dan’s situation and profession. Dan’s reaction was a real reaction, it may not have been “pc” but it was real. At some point we have got to stop being one sided. Dan is…
Dan’s old enough that “illegals” was the correct term for most of his life.
I know Roseanne the character is based on Roseanne the person, but why, and I ask this not trying to be a smart ass (and certainly not asking to get equally smart ass comments from the comment section), do you (DC) always debate whether a sentiment of the character is / does / should align with some of the incendiary…
To give the character her due, at least Roseanne didn’t chew out the cashier in front of her Muslim neighbor just to display how “woke” she had become after a single conversation.
I’m weirdly happy that Katy and Taylor are no longer feuding, even though I don’t really like either of them. John Mayer is just not worth it.
