I think the most unsettling part for me was making the mistake of watching it on a big screen and getting motion sickness from all the shakycam.

Well the only one I have not seen is Lone Ranger. The only one I didn't see in the theater when it was released is Babe.
So, stretched neck, elongated face, tweaked body shape, yet another horribly overdone photoshop job.
Earth Vs. The Flying Saucers!
Generally I won't even start watching a show until it is at least well into the second season and getting good reviews. Preferably 3 seasons in. There have been too many shows with second season cliff hanger cancellations for me.
But it fails to take into account Gollums high intake of fresh fishies, raw and wriggling, a very high source of vitimin D.
Yes, loved the Hawkworld series. Personally I thought it was the best interpretation of the characters yet.
My greatest grip with MOS was the "Great Shakes" ...of the camera. Superman is a character where you want to feel part of the action, not like you are watching something recorded on a camera phone by someone who glued a camera to a chicken.
I wouldn't like to skewer your point of view, but think he deserves to be grilled for those puns. I have an appetite for clever films like this, definitely one I would not pan. The guy has talent, I'd steak my reputation on it. Anyway, I've butchered enough puns, I could sit around and chew the fat all day, but I need…
Shaky cam HATE
I actually think it is a great choice. Wish he was directing too. While I like Snyder as a director, his films always seem to come across as slightly emotionally detached.
Hard to find a good picture, but probably the most lethal one I can think of would be the variable sword from the Larry Niven books.
Yep, totally a penguin. Then again I am penguin biased though.
Having dealt with a couple of beached sperm whales in the past, if they really wanted to be hyper-realistic they would have also needed a powerful stench that induced gagging and overpowered everything in about a 1 mile radius too.
Yup, throwing the laws of physics out the window will absolutely kill any movie for me. There is no reason for Sci-Fi to be stupid, the core audience in my opinion is fairly smart.
There's a really obvious one you are missing
Although, if you have ever suffered a serious electrocution through the chest, the scream becomes involuntary as all your muscles contract. I know from experience.
I LOVE City. About the only thing that does not hold up is the surgery on the dogs (as opposed to genetic manipulation), but that is kind of nit picking. Brilliant book, highly recommended.
Great book. Really like the sequels too.
