This poll is rather biased, as it's coming from a tech blog read by geeks. NONE of my friends have even heard of Giz, nor are they interested in reading its articles (I've tried). When asked, I guarantee you that most of them with an Android phone couldn't even tell me what version their firmware is.

For 5 bucks I can rent the movie at Blockbuster, and watch it for three days! Oh, wait...

@Sapan Gorath: Wow, Now I just feel stupid. Yes, you are correct.

@MrRainMan: Ah, well in that case I do apologize. My cyber-sarcasm meter obviously needs some fine tuning.

@MrRainMan: Do you realize how many people died in that wreck?

@RsK: Netflix takes the spontaneity out of renting movies. I want to be able to rent a movie at 10 PM and see it that day, sans internet streaming.

Back when I lived in a small town, we had this little video rental place that everyone went to. Then Blockbuster decided to move into town right across the street from this "mom and pop" shop. Needless to say, that poor business never stood a chance.

@IN THE FACE!: Dude, you didn't sound uppity! Don't worry.

@phonos: You might want to be careful with that "b" word! You might offend someone.

@SkelatorDan: But seemingly only in THAT part of New Mexico...

@SkelatorDan: Yes sir! But only to participate in and staff leadership camps. I wasn't able to go on a trek with my troop as a scout, but perhaps I'll be able to as an ASM.

@IN THE FACE!: You're quite right. But weight shouldn't be much of an issue on a cross-country motorcycle trip. Although I'm probably wrong; I do ultralight backpacking. The only reason I mentioned it is for its awesome membrane.

Personally, I wouldn't want to be in the same tent as my motorbike (for olfactory reasons). I would also expect something better than ripstop nylon for a 400 dollar tent, such as Gore-tex.

@KTope: I think the reason it hasn't interfered with equipment such as the Mauna Kea Observatories is because the electrons aren't freely floating around in the air; they're attached to water molecules, rendering them significantly less able to eff stuff up.

Absolutely gorgeous, but I wonder who their supplier is. It's certainly not easy getting your hands on a large supply of handmade 60's circuit boards.

@SkipErnst: You make a good point. But I think the other issue lies with the military's inability to monitor radar in that area. Silly, I know, but still an issue.

@John44: But then it would all be weighted to one edge, and it wouldn't feel like a true newspaper. It's a good idea, though.

@Myhnea: It's not necessarily a problem for ground radar, but for airplane radar. If you were a pilot and you saw a large group of dots on your radar, what would you think? I, for one, would definitely steer around it.

I fail to see the resemblance to the iPad.
