If it was me, and he gave me a heads-up that he was going to do this, I’d go in as Caitlyn or Jhin, who are two champs with high range who can farm from further back. So it might not even be that big of a role-switch. But I can also play those particular champs; if this guy’s ADC isn’t good with the safe, long-range

Not quite. The champ he’s playing is actually almost always a jungler, not a support, and in League (unless they’re playing blind draft, which most players avoid), he’s specifically queuing up as a support player.

The reason for the support role being what it is is because of basic game theory. In League, you start with 3 lanes, so you drop one champ in each (it is literally always better to be a solo laner so you don’t share gold or XP). Then you drop a fourth player in the jungle since there’s farm there to take and sustain a

League doesn’t really snowball like that. Early game matters, but if your ADC is super behind after early game, then you’re just playing a 4v5 at that point (since ADCs are usually the only players that can get hardcore stumped on farm and be useless, as opposed to tanks that still get the job done if behind).

Your assumed response is honestly one that I’ve seen far less than people just saying “Go for it.” Unless he’s talking about being in a ranked game of some import (like higher tiers) because people are more serious there.

I agree with the two-way street statement. Players should always ask before going super off-meta, and teams should at least hear them out if they’re convincing (I just played a game with a support Corki who was amazing, but he was good at pitching his case in the pregame lobby).

Riot strongly disagrees with your view of the ranked ladder. Hell, some people are legit trying to climb that ladder to make Challenger/Master teams, and maybe eventually go pro. Experimentation is specifically for normal games. That’s why there’s the separation.

Depends. There’s a high level player for Albus Nox who took his team pretty far at Worlds (further than any WildCard team has gone) by wrecking people with support Brand. The thing is, he tells his team that he’s thinking about this pick and makes sure they can play around it.

Riot’s answer was pretty good though?

I would answer yes to all of your examples. Those things are all pretty necessary parts of those products.

Nobody has posted this (somehow)

So, that’s a nothing in the last 15 years then. You do know that a lot of politicians will propose bills they know won’t get anywhere for their resumes, right? It’s why the GOP managed to pass a full repeal of the ACA 2 years ago (when they knew it would be vetoed) and why they just can’t seem to do it again (when

Wait, Marchman was in PA too? Holy hell, that guy can take L’s for the rest of his life. Fuck him.

Not accurate at all, because you get diminishing returns over time. According to you, 24 straight hours of practice would make you really good (or at least better than the guy who only did 10 hours of practice), but the reality is that you’d be a burnt-out twitchy mess against the rested opponent.

Arguably, yeah. The better teams mix in mental health to keep spirits high. TSM’s League team is pretty close and they work out and eat out a lot as just friends without the game coming up.

Well, yeah all of that hurts him as well. But even though he lost the popular vote in 2000, but it wasn’t close to the millions that Trump lost it by.

Honestly this is just what a Presidency looks like when you lose the popular vote by so much. Sure, that doesn’t change your actual election win, but you can’t force the majority of people who don’t like you to like you.

With the exception of the Wii, every home console they’ve ever released did worse than its predecessor.

Shit, Hillary’s done that for almost 30 years now. I’m amazed that she didn’t pull a Spicer and rage fight Newt in the 90s.

The Declaration of Independence has a section where the Founders specifically condemn KG3 for inhibiting immigration of foreigners. Madison speaks frequently in the Fed Papers about diversity and immigrants. It’s a founding principle of our nation.
