My only complaint is I felt like there was a good Earth 1/Earth 2 joke to be made about Groundhog Day. Something like, “You mean that John Belushi movie?” “It stars Bill Murray.” “Maybe on your Earth...”

For what it’s worth, I think Jordan has expressed an interest in playing the Val-Zod Superman which would be an interesting direction to go and wouldn’t close the door on future Cavill films.

I love Man Of Steel, but I also agree with your assessment. Honestly, my hope for Man Of Steel 2 was an adaptation of For The Man Who Has Everything so they could set a lot of it on Krypton and bring back Russell Crowe.

He was a fun villain in Black Panther but I’m much more of a fan of his work in Creed (first one, not the second) and Fruitvale Station, not to mention TV work on Friday Night Lights and The Wire. Nobody was good in Fantastic Four, so I don’t know that we can hold that one against him.

I know there are only nine episodes and last night’s is probably the only time we’ll see the Minutemen, but man would I like to see more of Will’s interactions with the other team members. In some of the supplemental material for the DC Heroes RPG (which I believe was taken from Moore’s notes) there’s a whole thing

Thanks! I was just about to start a re-read of that one, it’s been far too long since I read it the first time.

I knew about his connection to Ted Knight, but not that he was in line to take over. Is that from the Robinson Starman series or one of the Geoff Johns JSA runs?

I don’t think it’s going to be on HBO, I think it’s only going to be on the HBO Max streaming service.

Warner Brothers wants comic book content for HBO Max, so they’re turning to the guy who produces all of their other comic book shows. Plus I’ll be he’s been wanting to do a Green Lantern show for years but CW doesn’t have the money to make it look good.

100% support this idea. Even if John Stewart plays a smaller role (sidekick to Hal, mentor to Kyle, whatever) David Ramsey deserves it.

But Sylvester Pemberton was the Star Spangled Kid, not Starman.

That’s why he hates Ted Cruz so much: for stealing all of his fame and glory! (Unlike the rest of us, who hate Ted Cruz for being Ted Cruz)

I really enjoyed the first and third films (and even dug Into Darkness until around the middle where it gets worse and worse with every scene) but honestly I wouldn’t have minded if they’d stopped with Beyond. It felt like a good closing chapter for the characters, and it’s just going to be a bummer not having Chekov

I think they already gave this part to Sandra Bullock.

DC should just publish a comic adaption of Snyder’s two part Justice League screenplay with the characters drawn to look like the actors. Call it an Elseworlds.

Don’t forget New Rose Hotel!

His present day fiction took me a while to warm to, but on a re-read of both I actually liked the Blue Ant Trilogy better than the Bridge one. I dug The Peripheral though, so I hope we get the sequel in January as promised.

This wouldn’t be the Gibson novel I’d adapt if given the chance (I’d do a combination of Spook Country and Zero History and cast Tessa Thompson as Hollis Henry) but I can see why the Westworld folks would go for the near future sci-fi book with super convoluted timelines. It’s a shame the sequel keeps getting delayed

Fingers crossed Daniel Day Lewis will come out of retirement to play the child actor.

It also has a super strong group of new cast members: Sarah Michelle Gellar, Portia de Rossi, Timothy Olyphant, Rebecca Gayheart, Omar Epps, Jada Pinkett, and Lori Metcalfe.
