it's the queen bubble writ large. They'd need a huge bubble to have enough air inside.
My understanding of sandbending is that it is earthbending, just a specialized form developed over time from earthbenders in the sand tribes having nothing but sand to work with.
drinkable water can be pulled that way but it's a

someone else mentioned, that was the inner wall, so it was thinner, less-fortified.

agreed, that's what I envision:
korra identified
various people come check her out
red lotus attempts abduction
plans, change, she's isolated, zaheer et al are captured
Amon comes along, he's basically a 'The Mule' wildcard
Korra comes to Republic City, exposes/defeats Amon
Unalaq puts his plan into motion
Korra defeats

So, you're hate-watching or something?

The way I've rationalized it is, we know she was raised in protective isolation while Zuko and the white lotus hunted down zaheer and the others. Zuko really didn't have a reason to visit her during that time but probably was on schedule to host her eventually and teach her more refined mastery of fire-bending.

I'd have imagined a friendly uncle you see rarely. But apparently, it's more like that cool uncle you've heard about but he hasn't been around since you were a baby.

This. I, along with most other reviewers/commenters I've seen love Rollins' delivery. His deadpan is perfect for what is essentially a fanatic who is ruthless and dead-certain in his ideology.

Agreed on the grade. If I have any quibble it's that I'd liked to have seen a Zuko reaction shot to the term Red Lotus, even if it was one of puzzlement.

the mechanics of this universe are that chi needs to be focused, as facilitated by certain movements and positions, for any bending or spirit state. So by restraining her, they prevented her from doing that.

lol, no his switch to baseball wasn't his actual retirement but that's why I said right now.

Good thing I had my sarcasm detector on for that headline.

two different types of comedy.

The CIA gringo slapped two blackmail trumps on the table. The larger trump I think was a bluff: higher-ups want this investigation dropped or your career will be sh*tcanned.

Because, despite Disney's abysmal treatment of GF, they at least advertised the heck out of its return and made the episode available via additional dist channels for viewing. This, in stark contrast to how Nick handled TLoK.

yeah I definitely noticed that. I mean Longmire is no Justified (which itself isn't a perfect show) but the reviewer was clearly disconnected from the show's perspective.

Did he really say that? Just wow. I checked his twitter feed, was this on facebook or something?

plot-twist: pit is a wormhole to the diner restroom.

Thank you for doing the review that AVC should be doing instead of the dome. They used to do Longmire but the reviewer hated the show and clearly petitioned to get it dropped despite it having an audience.

affleck = actor
fx = channel

Sorry, I should have been more clear, I was referring to the assistant DA as the naive self-serving do-gooder.
