I'm off to see Ant-Man with my family for my father's bitthday; I've always been surprised that the dude that raised me insisting Citizen Kane and The Maltese Falcon are the two best films is as in love with MCU as he is (not a knock on MCU, it's just unexpected)

You bet, the only Criterion non-Blu-ray I have is W.R. and the Dusan Makavejev: Free Radical Eclipse set that should be here by the end of the week (basically I need to be certain there will be no future Blu-ray and/or it's one of my favorite filmmakers goddamn is this Makavejev guy sick as hell he's Antonioni and

First season focused on cinematography to an extreme degree and this season is focusing on editing to an extreme degree; this season's cinematography is better due to the editing for it's dilation of time and expressionist qualities.

That's incredible, I just bought In the Mood for Love since the sale is ending soon.

Oh man, LOST is the first thing I was completely invested in the mythos of so I would have loved that (at least /tv/ love the shit out of it too and allowed for discussion regarding it, but I was mostly on /mu/ because as I've covered below I hadn't realised my cinephilia until Drive)

Oh yeah, Notable Mention to Miller's Crossing as well, that's one hot film bb

1. Prospero's Books
2. Love Affair, or the Case of the Missing Switchboard Operator (rewatch)
3. Vivre sa vie (first time and rewatch)
4. Screw (three rewatches)
5. Eden and After (first time and rewatch)
6. The Tribe
7. Koyaanisqatsi (rewatch)
8. Hole in the Soul
9. W.R.: Mysteries of the Organism
10. Hubert Bals Handshake

I can't wait to revisit that on the Criterion I just bought of it. Incredible packaging btw

HEY EVERYBODY ESSENTIAL LISTENING

I was gonna make this joke but was too drunk. Props on beatin' my drunk ass to it bb

As it should be! NO ONE will be able to escape the wrath of Max Broom!

Do people here love Happy Endings? I've mostly just seen people confused by the love it gets but I've never seen the love they refer to. (I love Happy Endings)

What about it feels gross to you? I've always seen it as muted and calm to the point of comfortability but not complacency.

Favorite: Tea green (#D0F0C0 (I've been known to refer to it as "dofoko"))
Least: Damn that's tough. I guess highlighter yellow because it always feels unnecessary.

Regarding Tame Impala: This album they've made is great. My advice is to just let it happen.

I rescind this statement: I can't expect anybody to mark my words AND trust me

Everybody's fine! She thought it was hard to get into but really liked it once she did! High-five!

All I can say is that Hannibal and Season 2 of True Detective are two of the coolest things ever
