A lot of schools were unfortunately built over the last thirty years or so in locations that make it almost impossible to walk. Very busy roads, no sidewalks. I once knew a family who had to put their kid on a bus to literally cross the street until his mother promised he would never walk alone.

Boy, organized religion sure seems like a fun thing.

How about we all just live two doors down from our families so there’s no travel necessary? Or none of our children get to know their cousins / grandparents / parents’ places of origin? How about nobody gets to bring home their recently adopted kids because you can’t fly with them? I’m all for flights that are more

Oh I have the best story about a wedding proposal...

Yep. These boys were talking about how they would drop things on purpose, to sneak a look. I guess my consolation is, if they’re doing that, it’s easy to boot them in the face.

That’s why I don’t like the whole “if you were aborted you wouldn’t have been born” argument. Guess what? There are an infinite number of things that could’ve resulted in you never being born. There are some people who wouldn’t have been here without abortion. Like, a woman gets an abortion. Later, she gets pregnant

..okay? I’m really confused about why you’re talking about socialized healthcare then, since we’re talking about America and not like... Switzerland. What does socialized healthcare have to do with this article?

You do realize the healthcare system in america is not actually socialized, right?

I know! Having millions of uninsured is much better, right?

I obviously don’t agree with this in any way, shape, or form, but if it has to go down this way, then the parents of these pregnant minors should be responsible for their new grandchild and all the financial problems that come with it.

This. A million times this. As a grad student in cross cultural studies I get shit all the time that our research “isn’t like real research” and I point out that plenty of “real science” research is shaky or misinterpreted or fraudulent.

It’s worth pointing out that this is basically a success story. A paper was published after peer review determined it to be credible (not correct - that is not the purpose of peer review), others attempted to replicate the described “experiment” and could not obtain similar results, papers will have been published

Flattered yes. But willing to get naked with? Ten years ago.

Well, according to their Facebook supporters this is all thanks to the liberal media, gossip lovers, and atheists. Because, you know, that’s the only people who should ever be outraged by child molestation. Religious people get it.

Yes, because a woman from Wisconsin with no actual training is certainly qualified for the job of caring for damaged exotic animals that don’t in any way belong where they’ve wound up, and absolutely nothing bad could ever come of it.

Surviving cancer is terribly hard, heartbreaking, and constant battle. People who do it should certainly be respected. And if therapy animals make their lives easier, they should have access to all the domesticated, safe animals they can properly care for.

That’s a reason to get an authorized and trained service animal such as a dog or miniature horse. There is no reason for her to have a kangaroo in her private residence, even if it is disabled and cannot survive in the wild. It should have been adopted by a zoo or sanctuary. Where people have actually studied animal

Yes, fuck someone who takes brain damaged, strong animals around the general public.

You missed the point. She can take care of a disabled animal. But why does she get to bring a dangerous animal around others who don’t want to be in danger?

As others have pointed out, hard truth time: You are not doing any animal any favors by purchasing them from an exotic animal auction. You know why this animal is all fucked up? Because he was bred or captured in shitty conditions, likely illegally, and abused, for money, which she paid, so that more animals could be
