A rather clever item, indeed...and at a modest price; however, I would be much more inclined to purchase if it were equipped with an internal UV (ultra-violet) germ-eliminator lighting mechanism, even if that UV device required plugging-in the knife block (to AC power).

Just Me :: I keep a simple and very inexpensive (never-used-in-the-kitchen) pastry brush nearby my keyboard at all times; and a few gentle swipes will clear and clean nearly all the larger particles (of whatever) from within even the most nastified keyboard in just a few "strokes" (of/with) the (pastry) brush.
