Sadly, this isn’t just an EA thing. The FED “free” money machine has shut down, so all tech companies are tightening their belts. Kind of inevitable, but sucks that titanfall continues to be cursed to never get any breaks.

Levelled loot has been the worst thing to happen to modern ubisoft games. I wish they’d just stop.
I mean, this article seems a little misleading.
Corporate types seem to live in an entirely different world from normal people:
I don’t actually disagree with a lot of what you have to say about The Last of Us. I think it gets a lot of love and credit for doing what would be a medicore tv show, really well in a gaming format. Which was a big deal when it came out.
I don’t even hate the large maps and massive amount of content. The levelled loot is the issue. It makes the combat and stealth feel inconsistent, and enemies tanky. Same problem Ghost Recon: Breakpoint had until they eventually patched an mode that turned off the loot statistics.
The game goes on sale regularly. It’s on a bi-monthly schedule. I doubt that’s going to change even with the SKU change.
Yeah, that wouldn’t surprise me either. The ETs have always been sort of contentious with the hitman player base, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they continue to move away from them. IOI seems to do a lot of experimental gameplay stuff that if it doesn’t hit, they move on from. Like Sniper Assassin, Ghost Mode, 5 Stage…
I’ve always suspected the issues with porting the ET’s (other than obvious licenseing stuff like sean bean/gary busey) was a technical issue with the differences between games. Like even the current ET, the Icon, a bunch of it’s dialog interactions don’t seem to work right in it’s current incarnation. I wonder if…
I completely forgot about their back catalog, and you’re right, they were lucky enough to hold onto the rights to those. I’m not sure what streaming deals they’re going to be getting anymore, now that both Stadia and GeForce Now are sunsetting. :P
Yeah, I don’t have any excuses for IOI on the storefront stuff, other…
You don’t have to rush to do anything. The article is weirdly written in a misleading way. They’re just changing hitman 3 so that the access passes for the hitman 1 and 2 stages are going to be free going forward. There is no time limit on buying anything.
They’re an independent gaming company that self publish, and so far only makes this game (yes, I know they’re working on the bond project). It’s currently their only way to make money. Also they’ve never said freelancer was the last content they were releasing for the game. If anything, this whole changeover implies…
If they don’t own hitman 3, it means nothing. The games won’t be on the storefront anymore, but will still be playable to those that own them. If they own Hitman 3, and havn’t gotten the access passes, they’ll get them for free like everyone else. Hitman 1 and 2 haven’t received updates in a while. They’re completely…
I mean, it’s work and effort that artists, voice actors, programmers, etc took the time to do. IOI staff should still get paid for their efforts. And you’re now getting all of the extra content for what Seven Deadly Sins used to cost. That’s a much better deal. And it’ll likely become even cheaper during sales. I’m…
This is literally what the article is about. There is now going to be one game package for all the main game content, and then a separate dlc package that bundles all the extra dlc content they released, at a much cheaper price.
Jeeze, way to make the best news all year sound so negative. Should probably just link to the article you’re quoting if you’re going to ignore the easy to understand language in next part of their blog post:
It’s still a live service thing, if that’s a no go for you. It’s one of the best there is, but if that’s a problem for you, I understand.
In the US it’s not that the whopper is bad, it’s just.... really really bland. Like most of what BK offers here. Anything good rarely stays around (*We salute you Ch’King sandwich, you were good while you lasted*), and invariably burger kings here put on way too much mayo on anything they make. It’s not that they’re…
If AI Art isn’t art, then neither is photography. The processes for creating them are remarkably similar.
What are you even talking about? Did I say anything about selling AI Art? I’m using it for my hobbies. Mostly character art for DND, and playing around with it to see what it’s capable of.
