This is true... except for the ripping the covers off part. *Bookstores* have been know to rip the covers off returns to the publisher for cheaper return shipping. Library booksales have no such requirement.

At least it was on theme!

Same field. But, yes, it would still have been called Redlands at this point.

Mostly, I just worry about young girls (not unlike myself at one time) who hear these gynecological horror stories and then assume painful and unpleasant is the way it HAS to be, so they don't seek out new doctors or voice their complaints. They just suck it up and assume paps are supposed to hurt.

My husband doesn't eat red meat — he usually orders fish — and steak and burgers are my favorite thing on earth. Your story sounds like the drink version of what happens to me.

If you can get your hands on it, try Corsair Gin-Head Style American Gin. It is the ambrosia of gins.

Last pap I had, she used one of these. I was absolutely entranced by the fact that it lights up on its own. I don't even mind pap smears but I loved this thing. I couldn't shut up about it. People who have no interest in hearing about speculums heard about this thing from me.

I love this so much (seen it before but never hurts to see it again!). My favorite is the one with the spilled milk.

Okay, so I live in Crocs (hey, Bistro and Alice style in black so at least not neon ones with holes) because 1) I am also a librarian 2) I have a bum knee 3) I have plantar fascitis and 4) I have weak ankles and can't wear much in the way of heels.

I do not know what is wrong with me, because I am a huge Christopher Moore fan and I absolutely hate this book.

Why on earth did I decide you'd written "son" and not "kid"? Anyway, comfort to you and your *daughter.*

The structure of the line calls up something like this, only in black:

I never did like Goosbumps (I think, in my middle school brain I had branded them as "boy books") but The Fear Street: Cheerleaders trilogy so much.

There is an R.L.Stine. He did (and does) still write some portion of the Goosebumps books. However, at the height of his popularity (I guess early to mid-nineties?) when he was churning out new books, like, monthly? Yes, he was using ghost writers. Had to be.

I shudder at mentions of him and people say, "Why do you hate Jack Black?" and I have to answer, "I have no idea." I don't think it has anything to do with his movies because I disliked him before I even saw him in anything.

It could be the Xanax but this is the funniest thing I've ever seen.

Dear Jack Antonoff: This is what happens when we don't use capital letters. Had you just said "and open-minded* Brown students," there would have been far less confusion.

Oh, I hate-read the hell out of the Daily Mail. I'm why it is still in business.

OH GOD I ALREADY WATCHED IT! WHAT DO I DO NOW?

Ha! I was totally going to suggest librarian as the actual "best of both worlds." :)
