From everything I’m seeing and experiencing, the answer to that is no. And not only am I hearing no, but also that black people especially need to be quiet with all their demands and holding people accountable because “party unity” and any “ally” should be good enough and black people should just be happy being props

Lol they wrote Mia out after multiples movies where she plays little to no role in the plot, and then killed off Giselle. Those are terrible examples.

Good luck with that. This is a franchise that had Wonder Woman in the cast and felt the need to kill her off for a male character’s sob story (moments before he was killed off in the retconning of Tokyo Drift).

Honestly, I think it means there are one or two asshole holdouts who are making up nonsense scenarios in which consent could be obtained from a woman who was drugged (“well, before he drugged her she likely would have had sex with him because she was in his room!”). IME on a jury there is always some asshole who

It really bums me out. Dragon Age: Origins is what got me playing games. Even their less popular games I have great times with (DA2 and ME:A). I’m actually really sad about it. I hope this isn’t a permanent direction change.

I’m just baffled at this. Bioware making a game that’s not an RPG is just... mindboggling. They’re one of the few devs with a strong pedigree in a single genre like that, to just so totally abandon it... yikes.

Yeah, and I’m stoked for Dragon Age 4, whenever that happens. I’m just kinda let down. This feels like Bioware selling out and doing the multiplayer loot based co-op nonsense. I’m so over that kind of game. It was never for me. I’m a single player guy and Bioware was always my go to. Now it looks like they’re joining

That’s how I felt. It looks cool to me, just not what I want from them.

I was really hoping it wouldn’t be another Destiny/Warframe wannabe. Screw multiplayer co-op stuff. I want single player RPG’s. I want some Bioware in my Bioware games!

Thank you for continuing to follow this. New Yorkers- start calling you state rep, and make sure to sign the petition! Then tell others to do the same.

What i like:

So these woke dudes missed all of the Themyscira scenes? I’ve read some legitimate (if in my opinion, EXTREMELY nitpicky) critiques of Wonder Woman from a social justice POV, but claiming Diana only became empowered because of Steve Trevor is objectively wrong.

I’m feeling like a horrible person, but I’m starting to

It’s SUCH BULLSHIT. Because every single fucking male hero gets a love interest (or two!) that makes them stronger and more well-rounded. Yet when we get a solid dude that appreciates WW and doesn’t disparage or condescend to her and engages her as an equal (along with his awesome friends to boot), all of the sudden,

That only would have been a problematic storyline if she just started blindly following him and making decisions based on that love, i.e. if it had become her main motivator. However, it’s the complete opposite. When they make a plan to attack the gala she literally explicitly says “you’re not in charge of what I do”

Is anyone else tired of dudes trying to tell you that this movie isn’t empowering because Steve Trevor? The amount of Woke Dudes who are like “Wonder Woman doesn’t become empowered until she falls in love with Steve Trevor and that’s insulting!” makes me wonder what movie they watched, and also whether or not they

Also there’s a pretty consistent pattern in that team-up movies sell more tickets than the solo hero movies, for whatever reason.

I keep comparing the No Man’s Land/debut of Wonder Woman scene to the notion that an actual freaking unicorn jumped out of the screen, said to the women of the audience, “Ladies, this one’s for you.” and that’s pretty much why we all cried during that scene. When she starts swinging the Lasso and her theme music kicks

I’m delighted with this, and extra delighted Patty is staying on for WW2 when (and it’s going to be when, shut up) it comes around.
