What I don't understand in this show is weather/seasons: Why no snow? I realize their locations for a long time were in the South, but even Atlanta suffers some wintry weather once in a while. How would they all survive in a blizzard?

While the movie has its good points, the original novel by Christopher Priest is SO much better, and rewarding.

Agree…..found myself skipping pages during the love story. King STILL needs to be severely edited….he spends 800 plus pages on a novel that should be less than 500….
