I do think that Mellie for president plot is just as stupid as the kidnapping plot, but Scandal has become known for stupid unfortunately.

This was a good episode. The only thing that would have made it better is if there was nothing about the people in the white house in it. Those scenes detracted from the seriousness of the main plot.
